Frequently Asked Questions
I’m going to keep a few rugs stored in my garage during a home renovation. Is it better to fold them or roll them?
Before placing rugs in your garage (or basement, or attic, or storage shed…) we strongly recommend having them professionally washed and treated preventatively for moths before being rolled and wrapped up tight to protect them from wool moths, nesting pests, and construction dust and debris.
Once you are ready to place the into storage, be sure to lay the rolled bundles flat on top of a table or across some chairs, keeping them from sitting on the floor and away from the wall. This will reduce the risk of potential damage caused by water seepage. Don’t stack anything on top of the rug bundles.
